what majors is each ivy known for? they r good at everything obviously, but what r they the best at?

I'll just list some programs I know schools have

Uhm, U.Penn is known for Wharton Business school? I know that U.Penn and Columbia have engineering schools as well...

For the arts I would say Yale (has a great drama department) or Brown? Brown is right near RISD, a prestigious art school that you can take classes at.

Princeton has the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, so their government and international relations programs are pretty stellar

Cornell has a lot of pretty unique programs that I don't really know much about...

but really, they all are pretty amazing at everything, these are just specified programs I know

Cornell is known for a lot of things... For example, it has great departments in Engineering, Architecture, Business (although it's not as good as Wharton's, it's still pretty good), the pure sciences(bio, physics, chem) and its liberal arts programs are all pretty good.

"I know that U.Penn and Columbia have engineering schools as well..."

They have engineering schools, but their engineering schools aren't nearly as good as those of Cornell or Princeton. I was thoroughly unimpressed with both Penn and Columbia's engineering programs when I visited, although they do serve as a good path to go into some finance related field. I was more under the impression that Penn is known for business and Columbia is known for their social sciences(political science, econ, etc.) and pure sciences programs. I think every Ivy has a good arts/science college(i.e. liberal arts program).

Cornell is also unique with its School of Hotel Administration.

Yale is #1 in the nation in history.

When you get to the level of the Ivies, the differences in disciplines between schools--especially at the undergrad level--are hair-splittingly minute.

HAHAHA

That Brown-RISD comment ... was just too funny. Brown's fame comes from its cross registration with the 'Harvard of the Arts schools'?

MIT cross registers with Harvard. Does that make it an Ivy league school?

If anything, Brown's claim to fame shouldn't be relied on RISD.

What? Where did I say that Brown is famous for being near RISD? I'm not saying Brown's claim to fame relies on RISD, I said I was just listing specialized programs I knew some Ivies had. For someone interested in arts, if you are going to Brown then the Brown-RISD connection would be great
