<p>Assuming I want a shot (even a high reach) at HYPS, what should I do about GPA? Include a note about it with the application? I don't want to emphasize it...</p>
<p>I was hoping that an SAT score over the 75th percentile might make up for it... also, Eagle Scout, Debate President, and All-State Choir (as a male in Texas) might set me apart to display community service, leadership, and artsy-ness, respectively.</p>

<p>Your extracurriculars are lacking. To get into your super-reaches, you must have an extremely compelling story and/or national recognition in something. Acceptance to Chicago is likely with a compelling essay.</p>
<p>Very large class? I graduated with around 430 +- kids and by state standards, we were a 'medium-sized' class...My mom's graduating class had around 2000.</p>
