I did really well on the PSAT in sophomore year, but I don't think that counts
SAT: 2000 (but I'm hoping to pull it up)
SATII: Math 2=760 (retake?)
Chemistry=780
US=710 (It may seem low for all you smarties, but I'm fine with it)

Extracirriculars: NHS, Volleyball (JVcaptain), Track and Field, Key Club (event organizer), Outdoor Education Counsellor, Japanese Tutor, Math Tutor, Volleyball Junior Assistant Coach, Chem Honors and AP Chem Awards

I'm pretty into the sciences (ANIMALS!) hehe. And my sister goes to Cornell (ED), so I'm hoping to live up to the expectation.

I'm wondering what my chances are at places like Upenn, or Washington (SL).

Any other suggestions? I don't want to be the dumb kid (or the smart kid, for that matter), but I want to be challenged. I want a bigger school, and one with a name would be nice I really want to travel abroad to Australia. Um, I would like one in the city, with many things to do. And a good party scene but nothing way to crazy. I would also want a friendly atmosphere (I'm from Hawaii) where people are willing to help you if you need it.

Okay, this is really long. Thanks for taking the time Now I've got a Math and English Test Tomorrow!!

You might want to take the ACT and just see where you end up if you don't do so well on the SAT again, FYI. I think that if you raise your SAT a bit more, you'll be a strong candidate when you apply. You can handle Ivy and Ivy-caliber schools.

I hear Tufts has an amazing study abroad program, but they also can be very limited with money. You could check that out.

Dartmouth is also pretty friendly. :D I know that the linguistics department has a study abroad program in New Zealand (kind of like Australia), which is pretty interesting. You can probably study abroad in Australia hosted by almost any school though- it's not too out there.

Just out of curiosity, what school has glass blowing? (Do you go to a private school?) My school makes poor art teachers instruct painting classes in rooms where there's no running water, so they have to get their TA's to constantly fill jugs of water and dump out dirty water outside.

Pull up your SATs and maybe Cornell...the others eh

You really want to prepare for your SATs, you really want to bring your CR above 700. I would focus a lot of energy there, more than anything else.

Thanks for all the input, it really means a lot.
My college counsellor said I didn't have to take the ACT, so I didn't sign up or anything. I took SAT prep and on the final practice exam I got like a 22something. I'm takng the SAT again in June, so I'm just going to keep knocking on wood.

Also, I know Cornell has great food, but how is the food at the other Ivies/top schools? Also, does anyone know the quality of the athletic facilities at these top schools? As in, if I wanted to could I just go and work out on my own at anytime?
