it is. brown and dartmouth i don't know enough about to say without a doubt that it's worse than those two, but it's certainly inferior to the other 5

Princeton
Yale
Columbia
Penn

I don't think any of us can truly judge this one, but from what I've heard:

Penn
Dartmouth
Princeton
Yale
Cornell
Harvard
Columbia
Brown

4)Students most likely to succeed

Everywhere...it's the freaking Ivy League. Though the students at Harvard and Yale will be the next great thinkers and leaders of the world.

26e, there is no way that Harvard is worse than Brown...at Brown, they pretty much say: "take whatever courses you want, take some pass/fail, and at the end, we'll give you a degree."

Harvard, Princeton, Yale
Penn, Columbia
Brown, Dartmouth, Cornell

Little difference between the tiers, in terms of how "good" the school is.

I've heard that Penn is the best for social, followed by Columbia (NYC, and all) and Harvard the worst (they have a fun czar after all), but I don't think there is much difference between the rest.

from the columbia board i hear columbia can be draining socially.

and yes, i feel harvard is worse than brown, b/c at brown you can learn, because you don't always focus on grades, and you can choose to focus on whatever interests you and what will prepare you best in your field. harvard is the complete opposite of what you said. they say "take courses A B C D E F...........AAA AAB AAC and AAD, and at the end if you had any room left to take courses for your major and you were actually able to get hold of a professor or advisor to review your programme we'll give you a degree."

Having visited all of them (and attended two), Dartmouth has about a zillion times more social life than Columbia. Columbia is the least social ivy by a significant margin followed by Harvard. The ability to run into the maze that is NYC actually drains Columbia's on campus social life.

My rankings:

1)Most educational (Undergrad Average)

Clearly Harvard is the worst school in the Ivy League because it's ranked dead last in volleyball standings at 0-14 against other Ivies and 3-21 overall.

Gold Duck: Regardless of why the Ivy League started, it has become the most prestigious academic league in the country. Its much more than a sporting affiliation.

1) Harvard
1) Princeton
3) Yale
4) Penn
5) Columbia
5) Dartmouth
7) Cornell
8) Brown

Forget it, an Ivy is an Ivy, they're all good, diverse, and fun!
Here are my rankings:
