I know test scores are only one part of admissions, but which Ivy League schools look at the SAT out of 2400 and which look at it out of 1600? I have a 800 on math, 780 on writing but only a 710 on reading so I think that I would definitely not look as good out of 1600.

The schools evaluate based on EVERYTHING given their extremely competitive applicant pools. You need to ask yourself “Why wouldn’t they?”

Best of luck to you.

I’m not an admissions counselor, but my sense is that once your SATs get up into the 700s on all sections, they’re good enough. Differences between, say, 2250 and 2310 aren’t going to be the deciding factor; what’s going to matter is what else you’re bringing to the table: grades, essays, letters of rec, interesting ECs, special talents, geographical or ethnic diversity, and so on. Lots of people with very, very high SATs are rejected by the tippy-top schools.
