What type of SAT II"s do the ivy league schools want... if I dont take math II will that affect me?

well what were u gonna take?

There are 5 areas you can take SAT IIs in:
History, Foreign Languages, Literature, Math, & Science. My understanding is that you cannot use two from one genre, and some ivies require 3.

Out of all of the schools that require SAT IIs, most (especially the better engineering schools) will definitely want the Math IIC. Just take it, its not too bad.

:)

Hiwei I think its only wanted if you intend to major in math, science or business. It is not required, but recommended in certain cases.

If you think you can do well, then you should definately take it. A good score really can't hurt. It really isn't that bad, especially with the curve.

a math and science sat II seems good

Take what you're good at. If you are applying somewhere competitive, take the IIC. I had like 4 780s between SAT 2s and SAT sections; it really ****ed me off that I never got an 800 until after I made college. I'm sure now that the writing is included on the SAT 1 and college won't be as specific about SAT 2 requirements, doing well on more than one test in the same subject will be impressive.
