I'm not sure if there's one formula for all Ivy's. But perhaps someone can generalize?
I have completed four CA community college classes (Elementary Chem, Intro Object
Oriented Programming with Java, Elementary Chinese, Intro to Engineering) with a
4.0 - all A's from the community college. For Ivy's are these factored into the weighted
GPA? UC formula as I understand it counts them like AP with an additional point
for a maximum of 5.0 instead of 4.0. But then they limit the number of these
"bonus points" to just eight semesters worth. How are community college
courses incorporated into the Ivy admissions process in general?
