Ivy League with Low SAT's?

Got a 2050 on my SAT

670CR 680M 700W

Does this ruin my chances at Yale?

Have a perfect GPA, research published, all of those bells and whistles..
but am being told I can't get in anywhere with those scores

I'm terrible at SAT's (got a 710 on US History and 660 on Math II)
but a 5 on AP French and US History

Well Yale is very difficult to get into regardless of what you score on the SATs. Tons of kids with perfect GPAs and 2200+ SAT scores get rejected each year because they have less than a 10% acceptance rate. Does that mean you will definitely get rejected as well? Can’t really say. You have research published which will help. Just write a killer essay and get great recs and hope for the best. Make sure to apply to other schools and safeties as well obviously.

I agree with the person above me. It’s almost impossible to predict if someone with a great resume applies to an Ivy league how it will turn out
So I’ll just say it’s a reach, because any Ivy league is a reach

Mine please?: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1567285-chance-transfer.html

I got into an Ivy with similar scores as you. Although I know of people who got similar scores and people who got better scores who didn’t get accepted either. It’s all about luck and submitting an application that will make you stand out.

Wish you the best of luck :)

I don’t think it is impossible, particularly when you have strong EC. The chance is lower than those with similar credential but better score though. Your chance is probably below average applicant.
