...Because Dartmouth is the easiest to get into and it's in rural New Hampshire (a bit of a downside, especially if you like being near a city):

Princeton

Harvard

UPenn

Yale

Columbia

Cornell

Brown

Dartmouth

...I'm not a big fan of Yale.

Princeton/Harvard

Yale

Columbia

UPenn

Brown

Dartmouth

Cornell

Is dartmouth really the easiest to get into? What makes you say that?

Dartmouth is in no way the easiest to get into. Its SATs are 10 points lower than Princeton (and its also the most similar school among the Ivies). Cornell is by far the easiest admit, followed by Penn, then Brown/ Dartmouth, then Columbia, then Pton.

Sorry, you're right slipper (and Clendenenator)...Cornell is the easiest (according to the Princeton review, they're not even in the top 20 nationwide). Dartmouth is the second easiest (number 19): http://www.princetonreview.com/college/research/rankings/rankingDetails.asp?CategoryID=1&TopicID=10

Review.com is one of the most innacurate sources of selectivity. Dartmouth, Brown, Columbia and Penn are all very similar with a slight edge to Dartmouth and Brown and a slightly bigger edge to Columbia (college).

According to the U.S. News and World Report college rankings, this is how the Ivies rank (btw, I'm purposely omitting non-Ivy schools):

Princeton

Harvard

Yale

UPenn

Dartmouth / Columbia

Cornell (which according to US News is #12 nationwide, fyi jon314)

Brown

Check out the US News college rankings and see for yourselves!

-A current Princeton frosh

apdoolittle did you just realize your 1000 mark is passed?

Princeton/Harvard
Yale
Brown
UPenn
Dartmouth
Cornell/Columbia
As you can tell, I don't like Columbia ^_^

Haha I do now! :D Thanks for pointing that out. (I haven't been on CC since the college application hysteria last year. Guess I must have been on CC like CRAZY back then). ;) Wooo hooo The big 1k1!
