I'm a southern Californian resident and although there are some GREAT WONDERFUL FUN and Prestigious universities here in CA I'm considering one of those "elite" or Ivy Caliber/League universities. The issue I have is that many colleges "recommend" 4 years of a foreign language though other sources(cough cough College Board) believe otherwise. I think I'm stuck in a rock and a hard place I love my freshmen(jr high)schedule and I wouldn't want Spanish(I chose Spanish) as my class to fulfill my a-g requirements because I prefer to take the HS course for more advanced courses.
So anyway do Ivy admission committes require you to take 4 years of a foreign language because their websites say they understand the diverse courses that students enroll in. And could I just bypass that prequiste by taking AP Spanish and AP SPanish Lit. Honestly I think I could learn right now independently because I'm really near the culture anf grew up around it.

Sorry if its a long block I tried to seperate it.

Bemidji State University only requires two years of a foreign language.

show me the carfax

Do you by any chance want to go to Stanford?

^apparently not “lthough there are some GREAT WONDERFUL FUN and Prestigious universities here in CA I’m considering one of those “elite” or Ivy Caliber/League universities”

Actually my dream is Stanford I’m serious but it came to me that I might not be able since its admission patterns are too sparodic I mean Stanford might be harder to get into than the ivies now these day, But I still dont lose hope of going to Stanford

Here’s a requirement. Be Human.

^Well, at least with a pulse.

ok i get it
