<p>How much do you guys think being a URM (Black, Hispanic, etc.) helps admissions? especially to the Ivies? </p>
<p>I was just wondering, as i've seen more than a few Asians noting that they aren't helped at all by colleges looking for diversity, but no one has really said much on who is helped the most, or how much of a boost they get.</p>
<p>URM status helps a lot.</p>
<p>A 2200 from a URM would beat a 2200 from an Asian (hypothetically, assuming everything else is the same).</p>
<p>I think that is the thing - - - hypothetically speaking if everything is the same. The reality is there are no two people the same. None! So you can't really state that.</p>
