…and Pipkins, Taco, Ojemudia, Marshall, Wormley, Hurst, Poggi, and Henry. Frankly the depth Hoke and Mattison are building on the D line is just unbelievable. It will definitely be our most talented position group outside of maybe running back or quarterback in the next two to three years.

I agree maizeandblue21, although I would add OL among the most talented position groups. Last year’s freshman group was arguably the best in the nation, and the year before it was almost as good.

Saw a post on the Rivals.com message board about the Michigan football team working out in San Diego with the Navy SEALS. A Buckeye fan quipped Brady Hoke acted quick in getting his team some training soon after the decision to possibly allow women in combat special forces. Too funny!

I guess those years Brady was at SDSU are paying off for Michigan football. :-)

They did that last year.

UCB- thanks for informing us. Maybe you can get 60,000 people to show up to a couple of your games this year.

Four star OL Jamarco Jones will announce his decision on Thursday. Chances are, he will be a Buckeye, but Michigan is not far behind. Anything can happen in 48 hours. Perhaps he’ll have an epiphany! ;)

We’re pretty stacked at OL

I know. We have recruited 12 four and five star OL in the last three years. Few OL have the confidence to commit to Michigan with this kind of competition.

Kicker Andrew David and OL Jon Runyan Jr. have become the first two 2015 commits. David was yesterday and Runyon this morning.

Heh, I think playing tOSU and USC will help take care of that… even opener against the Mildcats should be a sellout.

You’ll sell out your opener? Must be a real good football program you’re building over there. You even managed to land three whole four star recruits last year. Game over everyone, bow down to the 3-9 Golden Bears.

Shut up freshman

Hey, I wish my school had the football history yours does. We got a new coach after that horrible season…new coach, new season, good quality opponent, so yeah, can easily see some sellouts. Winning would be real nice too.

At this time, we have 14 verbal commitments for the class of 2014. I like the balance, with 7 on offense and 7 on defense. Although we only have 15 scholarships currently available for that class, I expect 3 or so more players to drop out of the program, which means we should have room for 18 recruits. That means we have 4 more spots available, give or take.

On Offense, with 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 QB and 2 OL already committed, I imagine we will go for one more OL and 1 RB.

On Defense, we have 1 DT, one DE, 3 LBs and 2 CBs. I see us recruiting only two more DL (Hand and McDowell hopefully).

“Hey, I wish my school had the football history yours does. We got a new coach after that horrible season…new coach, new season, good quality opponent, so yeah, can easily see some sellouts. Winning would be real nice too.”

Of course, your quality opponents’ fans will fill your stadium.

^^^LOL. That was exactly what I was thinking.

We’ll take 3 more defensive players for sure if we can land Hand and McDowell. We need another defensive back, it’ll be either Jackson, Smith, Westphal, or Nicholson. I could see us being done on offense too. It looks like we’re just gonna leave OL alone after missing on Jones. We’re definitely done with WR’s after getting Canteen. Scott’s gonna go to Clemson and the staff never wanted to take four. We’ve widened the net a little on RB’s. Obviously we’d take Fournette if the interest is real, and along with Ballage we’re trying with Jonathan Hillman (great offer sheet for a 3 star). It’s also definitely possible that we’d take another LB even after getting Furbush. We’re still not great on weakside LB depth behind James Ross. Hopefully Gedeon or RJS pans out there but otherwise we could be in trouble, very unproven. So we’re definitely still going hard after Dwight Williams, he’d be a great pickup.
