I couldn’t find a thread for this year’s scholarship, so I thought I’d start one. Has anyone heard back from the foundation yet? I received an email earlier saying that they will contact us sometime in January…
I received a notification today saying that I was a semifinalist. 
Did anyone else here back at all also?
I didn’t even make it as a semifinalist…I guess I have to find other scholarships now.
Semifinalist!
I to was selected as a semifinalist! For those of you who are curious, they “more than 5,100 applications” this year. Semifinalists represent the top 10% of applications. Assuming that, there were 510 semifinalists. With 40 slots, each of us has a 7.8% chance of getting it.

Do you guys know if we can send supplemental materials, specifically an additional letter of recommendation? I have an extremely strong LOC that I think can boost my app
has anyone received a separate login to do the scholars application or send additional information? or did y’all just get the email notifying us about our semifinalist position?

We cannot submit stuff yet. I want to send in updated test scores, but this is their response.
“At this time we are asking that students wait to be contacted by us as we are verifying all semi finalist info. if we need that info we will request it from you.”
Nope. I’m not a young scholar.
