@kb199977 I haven’t had any contact with JCKF since the Semis announcement either. I know I am not getting it, but as said before, please keep us updated; good luck to everybody!!!
Best of luck to everyone having their interviews this week!!
Thank you guys for all your wishes. Getting this scholarship or not, it is not going to define who we are. I am sure all of you will have a great experience moving forward with your goals. Wishing you guys best of luck??.
I just got my interview done, it was told that the notification will be sent out between two to three weeks from now. So whoever did not get any an interview yet, just keep your hopes up. Good luck to everyone.
Interesting! @Dreambbig
Hey everyone, have any of you received any college acceptances yet?
I haven’t received ANY decisions yet, but they start to roll out this month for me!
@kb199977 which school have you applied to? Because most of the ivy-league school and other elite school don’t, really, reply back until beginning of May( for transfer students at least). Same boat, I applied to 15 different universities, still waiting??. Good luck.
@Dreambbig I applied to UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC San Diego, and UC Irvine. Those decisions come out this month for me. I also applied to Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Cornell, and Northwestern. Northwestern was really last minute for me, I applied at 12am sharp on March 16th lol. I applied since I’m going to be there this summer for two months.
Good luck to you too!
Update for y’all: Yesterday I was admitted to UC Irvine and today I was just rejected from Northwestern! That Northwestern rejection stung, not gonna lie. Hopefully I have better luck! Best of luck to the rest of y’all once again, ill continue to post,

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you have been at community college for 3 or 4 years and with how many units? Just curious because I am considering staying another year or perhaps two
Hey guys!
I was wondering if everyone who doesn’t get an interview is basically out. Is there a chance of winning without an interview? I felt like I had a very strong application, but I haven’t heard back or received any notifications/emails/requests since the original email.
I will post my stats in a separate post, but I wanted to submit this question first.
Here are my stats. They may look familiar to some of you, because it is a copy/paste from some of the other posts for schools I have applied to.
I applied to Brown’s RUE program, Columbia GS, Cornell, Loyola Chicago, Princeton, Stanford, University of Michigan (UM), University of Pennsylvania, Williams College, and Yale’s Eli Whitney Program.
Note: I received a rejection letter from Williams College on 4/3.
I am 41 years old, married to a 100% service-connected disabled veteran, and have no kids. I work as a VA Caregiver and hold a professional job. I dropped out of high school and got a GED. I attempted to go to college on 4 separate occasions and I did very poorly or dropped out each time. I started back to school 2 years ago and finished my associates degree in December 2018 at a local community college. I graduated magna cum laude (3.868 out of 4.00 GPA) on December 16, 2018.
Also, I did not take the SAT or ACT. As was advised by admission reps at Princeton and Stanford, I wrote a formal request to all schools that required standardized test scores requesting my application be considered in its incomplete status.
Here is a summary of my time at my community college:
Graduated magna cum laude (3.868 out of 4.00 GPA) on December 16, 2018.

Hello, hope all is well with you. Quick update. I meet one of the Jack Kent Cooke representative at the Catalyst yesterday( in Florida). I asked her if JKCF interview only or more likely people will be finalists, and she said no. She said they just want to try it for this year to see how its going to work to know the applicants a little bit more, but that does not mean anything. By the way the lady I asked she said she is one of the staff who does the selection. So, for those who were not interviewed keep your hopes up. Update on Cornell University, I have met one of the representative and he told me that notification will start more likely this coming week. Wish you best of luck guys??.
@dreambig Thanks for the update! This makes me feel much better, like I still have a fighting chance.
