Jack Kent Cooke Transfer Scholarship Applicants 2019-2020

Congratulations @RainbowBritey

Congratulations to our new cookie cousins! Welcome to the family!

@RainbowBritey so well deserved, I see you on the FB page and here spreading positivity and good vibes. Congratulations!

Congrats to all of you. Well deserved???

OH MY GUYS… I was actually chosen… I cannot believe it to be honest. Got an email from my school advisor and they’re giving me the certificate next week. Found out a few hrs ago and honestly the excitement has yet to sit in, still not registering the fact at all.

Cannot wait to see you all during scholars weekend. For the rest, please hold on and wait as decisions seem to be rolling out as we get closer to Apr. 22.

@Snekfest Congratulations!!!

Jack Kent Cooke Scholar here guys???

Congratulations @Snekfest

@sarra19 @JellyPeeps Thank you both so much.
@Dreambbig Congrats and looking forward to seeing you on Scholars weekend!

I see @AGoodFloridian lurking, your threads from last year helped in so many ways from the JKC to the transfer schools and wanted to thank you again. Beyond honored to be joining you man!

WOW, congrats to all of you finalists! Its amazing to see all of these winners! I haven’t been here in a while and the first thing I see is all of you guys winning, it’s great! Congrats once again.

I’m so happy for all of our winners and so excited to meet you all at Scholar’s Weekend! I can’t wait!

@RainbowBritey Didnt you say your husband applied for this also? Was he selected as a finalist?

@jellypeeps so far just me and I presume they would have notified us together so at this point we are guessing that he didn’t get it. It would have been incredible to both get it though!

Congrats, @RainbowBritey! I bet your whole family is doing the happy dance you’ve spoken of! And congrats on UCB!

Congrats to everyone on this thread, as well!

@RainbowBritey Yeah, that is what I would presume. But, hey, one in the family will do so much for you guys! It is still so phenomenal that you were both semifis.

@JellyPeeps and @ARousseau thanks! We have indeed been happy-dancing all over. The last couple of months have been filled with such extraordinary joy and generosity and we are thrilled and overwhelmed. @ARousseau well done on UCB too - my husband is a pure math major so if we choose to attend there and you do too, you will be in the same program! Where are you leaning at the moment in terms of college choice?

Hi to all! Congrats for everyone who won. Is there anyone who still hasn’t heard about their status. The wait is killing me!

@ABLEE I still haven’t heard anything. My school is closed for Spring break. You’re not alone.

@ABLEE I have not heard yet either. My school changed email providers and they have a problem with everything being routed to spam and then being deleted. I could have called and asked them to look for it, ut I decided to wait until Monday and find out with everyone else. No I kind of regret the decision. LOL.

Hi everyone, I was surprised by my college on 04/17 and I found out that they got the results on 04/12. I read every single post of this thread and also the one from last year and finally decided to post this. I got the info update email and my interview was on 03/01. There are three scholars at my CC, and we all got surprised individually. My school has announced two recipients and both of us got the interview (the third student has not been announced yet). Congratulations to all of you who have made it this far. I am from California, and I have recently gotten accepted to UC Berkeley under Chemical Engineering major. Also, I have been at my CC for four years (I remember someone asked about this to consider to spend one more year) so yes, I spent one more year at my CC to apply for this scholarship and for some other reasons. Thanks so much @RainbowBritey for creating this thread and @AGoodFloridian for the last year’s thread. I hope to see you all at the Scholar’s Weekend!!!
For those who have not heard anything, please keep your hope up. Even if you do not get it, I believe that you will still do great without the scholarship. Good luck to every one on the scholarship as well as admission decision!!!
