@CourtneyThurston A quick scan of the first seven pages and I didn’t see a thread for 2015? I see 2014 and previous years though… I tried searching it but nothing came up.

Hm, I swear I saw one once. Maybe I was wrong – can’t seem to find it now, either. I’m sure others applied, though; there was a large CC thread last year.

@TheOtterOne I haven’t… but notification of status was scheduled for late April, correct? Do you know of people receiving notification earlier?
@hallowdreams I haven’t heard anything… but they do interviews starting late April, right?
@TheOtterOne I’m assuming so. I’ll be calling at some point in April before the 30th to confirm this though! I’ll let you know what I hear.

@Bri246 @TheOtterOne I just called a few moments ago and if I understood the lady I spoke to correctly (we were having major communication issues), notifications would go out on the 30th. You would RECEIVE the scholarship then and for whatever reason you would then need to proceed to an interview. 
According to the website, and reports from last year’s applicants, April 30th is only the notification of semifinalist status and then the interview period begins. Winners are not notified until June 15th.

How many people apply and how many get it?? thanks @planner03 i’ve been waiting for the longest time and I’m nervous for the notification to come out tomorrow
I guess we will see what happens today. Unfortunately last year the semifinalists were notified for interviews prior to April 30th, and then on the 30th everyone else got an email…hope that is not the case this year.
No idea how many apply…several thousand I would imagine. From what I have dug up about 200 get interviewed and about 60 get the scholarship.
“Please be advised that all qualified applications that met minimal eligibility requirements are being reviewed by the Regional Scholar Advisory Committees. Your application did qualify for further consideration. All applicants will be notified of their application status by the end of May 2015.”
Is this good news?
@tobester I received the exact same email. If you don’t receive any further information closer to the 30th of May I think you could safely assume that you aren’t going to receive the scholarship.
