Rejected as well! ): Ah well, hopefully City of Hope turns out well.

I hope!!! I’ll pray for you rubix5! this is a huge opportunity <3

Haven’t heard back yet either… I got accepted to another program, but I’m waiting for Jackson before I send in my decision :)

@bsnewbie, looks like many people already received rejection e-mail. You might want to check with Jackson… Which other program are you accepted into?

@4beardolls I was accepted into Boston University’s RISE program, which is specifically for juniors in high school.

I would suggest you contact Jackson to inquire about your application status.

@bsnewbie, you’re not alone, i haven’t heard back from JAX since my application was confirmed either. I think they are sending out emails in waves, similarly to what RSI does, but i don’t think it means anything special (i’m not getting my hopes up just because they haven’t said anything, they could be sending these results out in any order), and from the previous posts, it seems like there are at least a handful of people like us who have yet to receive any word (good or bad) from JAX… i guess we just wait now and keep refreshing our inboxes over and over again…

The problem is that I never received a confirmation email after I submitted my application. I’m wondering if they even got my application at all. Just sent an email to Jackson, one way or another.

Hmmm this is a little strange… the rejection email posted upthread stated exactly how many people were offered positions in the program (34) which means the decisions have been made. The reason I think a delayed email means waitlist is that if the decisions were already made and most rejection letters already sent out, why not send all of them at once?

rubix5: Exactly. And that’s why I think there were two parts to the acceptances: the “finalist” letter (which required an rsvp to the program) and the award letter (with all the program info). I imagine that if some finalists say “thanks, but no thanks,” Jax then sends an acceptance to another individual (from the unofficial waitlist). And, as you mentioned, it would also explain why there are still people who haven’t heard.

I’m really scared now…ughhh. I just want A letter from the Jackson Laboratory :(

Rejected today. Ah, well. Congratulations to those who made it!

Sent from my SCH-I405 using CC

I got my confirmation email a long time ago. I am still waiting for my decision, but seems like I will either get rejected or waitlisted based on what I see here Congratulations to those people who made it though!

i talked to someone there, and they said they would know who was in it by the end of the week, im assuming everyone who hasnt heard is on some kind of waitlist

I have still not heard anything. I emailed them and they just basically said that all decisions would be sent out by the end of March. I am a college freshman. Does this mean I’m on a waitlist? If they already accepted 34 people, why am I still waiting? Has anyone gotten an official email saying they are on a waitlist?

im pretty sure all of us who havent heard are on a waitlist, and they will tell us whether we get in on friday, im guessing. i think theyre waiting to hear back from the 34 people they accepted

I am waiting as well, as I haven’t heard from anyone yet. 4 more days :)

i was totally dreading checking my email this morning but STILL NO RESPONSE! sigh

Just received my rejection letter I couldn’t believe they had to wait until the end of the month for that!

yep, same here
