@oboeboy1917 Well that kills my theory, I guess. Maybe today!!
@albertsax I hope so! Did you do a recorded audition also?
@oboeboy1917 Nope, I did a live audition on March 2.
@albertsax Nothing today either. I’m definitely not feeling optimistic.
@oboeboy1917 I’m out of the house right now and can’t check my mail until later today.
@oboeboy1917 and another nothing!
@albertsax Maybe today!
@oboeboy1917 maybe! ?
@oboeboy1917 Nothing again….
@albertsax Yeah same here. Has your portal updated?
@oboeboy1917 Is there a music portal? Or where do I check in the main one? I’ve been watching my financial aid just to see if they put in a music scholarship before I get a letter…
Did IU have you register for an account to check your main portal? They made me do so.https://admissions.indiana.edu/apply/freshman/step-three.html Here’s the link to the main one.
Yea, that’s the one I’ve been checking. Nothing on the music end there yet…
I just heard from @sunnysar that she emailed Jacobs and was told to expect decisions around midweek, end of week at the latest. We’re getting close!
My DS interviewed March 2 for Audio Engineering/Sound Production. He’s already accepted to IU, but not the music school as he had to interview first. It’s his #1 and we’ve been sitting on pins and needles for three weeks!! I hope today!! Good luck to all.
@RMSqueencat Thanks! Good look to him as well. I was told that a decision on my application by IU would be delayed until Jacobs made a decision. Maybe it varies depending on what specific major that you apply for. I hope everyone gets what they’re waiting for!
@oboeboy1917 - That makes much more sense. We were very happy when he was accepted back in January. It was a general acceptance letter with no mention of any school or major, and shortly after receiving that letter, he received the invitation to interview at JSOM. We’re just not sure what happens if he doesn’t get in JSOM! There was no option on the common app for a 2nd choice. Hopefully, he’ll be accepted, otherwise we contact admissions and find out what happens next.
@RMSqueencat Perhaps with that particular major there’s a way to attend and get general courses out of the way freshman year and then reinterview into the program? Who knows? College admissions are so confusing sometimes.
My portal updated! Before it said something about my decision being delayed, but it now says that they’re considering my application. I’m wondering if this is a good sign or a bad sign.
@oboeboy1917 have you been accepted into the university yet? I got in in October and so my admission status has said “accepted” since then. Otherwise, I’m not sure where you’re seeing this on the portal?
