Hi all,

Does anyone here know anything about how the United States Military can pay for law school? I am pro military service, so I understand the commitment, and I also know that the Army is moving JAG personnel into active combat in Iraq.

I'm a high school senior (just got into UChicago!!), so I have time to think about this.

I heard that in order for the military to pay for law school, you must already be an officer in the military (via ROTC/academy I'm assuming). Is this true?

Is there such a program in place such that I enlist, I go to law school with their money, I go through officer training etc, become a member of JAG, and serve my active duty?

Any info, for Army, Air Force, or Navy, would be appreciated!

I know I could talk to a recruiter, but I know they are not too trustworthy, plus I have a lot of time before this becomes a serious issue.

Thank You!
