<p>Presumably, the U wants your father’s tel number in case they need to contact him there- from here. In the US, it’s area code 011, followed by a particular country code, sometimes a city code, then the actual local telephone number.
Bigger problem is the total number of digits, which may not fit the app. Big solution, mentioned on many college’s web sites is: leave it blank, call the Admisisons office. They will handle this. So, please, if you don’t have the instructions, if you can’t find them on the school’s web site…just call and ask. We don’t want to give you mistaken info.</p>
