I've applied and been accepted to both James Madison College at Michigan State University and to University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. As someone who is interested in pursuing a political science education, being accepted into both colleges brings up an interesting question: Which one is really better? While University of Michigan's political science program is very highly ranked, I'm also aware that James Madison College at MSU is also a very good program. Obviously, both have their advantages and disadvantages. At JMC@MSU, classes are smaller and more personal while at UofM classes can be very large and impersonal. That being said, UofM is ranked very highly for its political science program while JMC@MSU is an unknown in that regard (or at least I haven't been able to find its ranking).

I suppose what I'm asking is, which of the two programs is actually better? What are some pros and cons for each that I haven't already thought of? Finally, which would would you choose if you were given this choice for yourself?

Any advice or knowledge from someone who has been though a similar situation or someone who is knowledgeable on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
