James Madison Transfer Chances?

I applied to JMU as a 2014 freshman but was waitlisted and ultimately denied. I am currently taking classes at NoVa and hoping to transfer for fall 2015.

My high school stats:

~3.3 GPA (W)
Class rank top 50%
AP Psych, Bio, Lit, Human geo, US history, World history
Founder/President of Ultimate Frisbee Club
100+ Hospital Volunteer hours

SAT:

Math 760
Reading 700
Writing 660
Composite: 2120

So far I've taken one class over the summer at Nova (Precalc w/ trig) and got an A. If I keep my GPA above 3.7 what would you say my chances are transferring in as a sophomore?

I think you stand a very good chance. My brother got in with a better GPA than you but your SAT score trumps his.

Nova has guaranteed transfer to JMU after earning your associates. I suggest you look into that here’s more details on the requirements 500 - Error - Northern Virginia Community College;

I’m aware of the GAA. I would be able to complete my associates and transfer by next fall if JMU would allow me to substitute my AP credit for transfer but they don’t. I would like to be there as soon as possible even if it’s only a semester sooner.

Daily bump

Another bump

Another bump

It would be absolutely ridiculous if you didn’t get in.

Another bump :/

Weekly bump
