James Madison University- Early Action

James Madison University is probably my #1 when it comes to my college list. I've been working on all of my college applications lately and have been considering applying early action to a few schools. I'm retaking the SAT in October and I'm taking the ACT in October for the first time. The early action deadline for JMU is on November 1st. I put JMU on the list of colleges to have my test scores sent to immediately when they are "posted".

My questions:
1. Is it a bad idea for me to be applying Early-Action or should I give it a shot?

I'm so nervous about applying because I want to get in more than anything! What do you all think my chances are (by the way, I'm out-of-state)?

Bumping this post!

Did you end up going there?

I was accepted Early-Action to my major and was even chosen for the Madison Achievement Scholarship, but I ultimately chose not to attend. I chose the University of Delaware mainly because of its strength when it comes to my major as well as in-state tuition. For a while I was really down about not choosing JMU, but after visiting UD for their accepted students day, I was beyond happy with my decision. JMU is an amazing school with a beautiful campus, great people, and awesome academics, but it was just to expensive and far from home FOR ME.

That is good to hear. Glad you like UD! Good luck to you
