Anyone else get the James Scholar award? I got in the LAS for physics. What exactly does this mean? Is it a big deal, or just the opportunity to graduate with honors? I am assuming there is no money attached, but are there other scholarships that will give money to James Scholars?

It is the top 15% percent of each college. There is no scholarship money but if you manage to stay in, it will help you to get tohers probably. I don't really pay attention to the James Scholars requirements. And yes you can graduate with honors.

Are there expanded opportunities to work with professors on research, etc? What about priority registration for classes, housing, etc? Are there any other hidden benefits? Thanks.

The registration is nice and early for James Scholars and that's very very nice. Since you have to register for an honors class you will have to speak with the professor about special requirements in the class, you might get to know them better.
