Jan 1 Deadlines

Hello,

my teacher chose to submit the evaluation forms. Do they have to arrive at a specific college admissions place by january 1st or just postmarked by then? My teacher is quite brilliant at teaching and wrote a great rec...but she is very...careless with these mail and internet stuff. She is very old-fashioned and refuses to use the online recs so prefers to mail it instead. Also, is there a chance that the recs will get lost? And what happens if they do?

Thanks in advance :)

It depends on the college, but for the most part they accept stuff outside your hands after the deadline, in most cases. Other than the common app, supplement, or payment, that is. So you should be fine!
In the unlikely case that it gets lost, the college will contact you asking about the missing rec…and you can happily reply and resend it or fax it. But have trust in the American mailing system!! :)

This was not a double post. Not at all.

^ Of course it wasn’t. Double posts are a myth.
