Jan. 10 is the POSTMARK deadline, right?

AHH, I hope so!

Yea ten char

Is it really? I thought I read online that they had to receive it by the 10th? Shrug. If the 10th is the postmark date though, that'd make things easier... Either way, I'm sending it out tomorrow (the 8th) with overnight delivery.

hmmm. is overnight delivery really overnight? this might be a stupid question but i don't see how my application could leave my house tomorrow, on the 9th, and be in georgetown admissions on the 10th..

god i hope the 10th is the postmark date. :/

Is there anyone that can confirm this? I forgot to call admissions today...

website says in by jan 10. recorded msg on phone says postmarked by jan 10.

i'm sending mine in tomorrow. really hope it can be postmarked by jan 10 or else i'm ****ed.

okay, just called undergraduate admissions.

"postmark is fine."

GOOD! Thank God...

website even says postmark. I might do express fedex or UPS mail tomorrow.

why express? it's the post-marked, it doesn't matter when it gets there (within reason)

i finished my current events essay. i'm officially done applying to college.

ahem - yeah, i'm def throwing a party. go me haha.

hey i sent my app. but i just called up my high school(i'm actually 500 miles away from my high school and as you guessed i am a gap yr applicant) and they said that they haven't yet sent the High School report...(partially because of the winter break and partially because of the school fete (kind of carnival that is today).... does my application stand any chance of being reviewwed

i have my fingers crosssed

from what i understand they dont mind if the school screws up because its not your fault

Yeah, when the Geogretown guy came to my school, he said whether it arrives on the 10th or the 20th, it doesn't matter, they read all the applications in a certain window.

Mine's going to be late, they'll probably still take it.

I can only ask for speculation of course, but if I were to send mine on the 15 (since there's no postage on MLK day), does anyone know if I would be in good shape?

if i were you, I would REALLY call the admissions office and ask, just to see what they say.

That's good advice. I'll do it!
