Jan. '11 SAT - So what was the math curve?

Got the score today, didn't realize we would have to wait until next week to get the full report. I read a lot of predictions about the curve, for those of you who have a very good idea of how many you missed on math, can you post how many you missed and what you scored. I am wondering how many wrong equates to a 720. Thanks.

I know that 2 wrong on math was a 750 in November, if that helps.

I got a 770 so I’m thinking I missed 2.

Left four blank and received a 660. Not sure how many I missed.

Twoby2013, hope you did well.
Twoby or anyone reading:
When you say you will get the full report next week, do you mean where you will see exactly what you need to work on? I didn’t think they did this for the January test but will be so happy if they do for my dd to review with her tutor.
She wants a couple hundred more points before March so pinpointing her weakeness would be good to know.
Thank you.

I made a 740 with 1 omit.

You omitted 1 and received a 740?
Honestly, I know for sure I omitted one and got one wrong.
Maybe I made one or two extra careless mistakes (that I have yet to pinpoint from the math forum…) but I got a 700, and it’s devastating. I don’t think a curve can be that harsh though, even if it’s math.

I omitted 5 and know I got more than that wrong and got a 750 :)

54 800
53 770
52 740
51 720

0 omits, 740.

Missing 2, 0 omits gave 750 in December.

So 740 is probably missing 2-3.

No! that doesn’t make any sense!
I omitted 5 and still got a 750!!

other window, missing 2 is a -2, they round your score up, and future president, that’s impossible

-5 has never been 750.

Wow. I am sincerely sorry.

I was talking about the subject test, not the SAT.

Fail on my part.

Same here. No omits, I don’t think I could have missed more than two to pull off a 770.

Tenplenesis’ curve is correct.

800
770
740
720

Yeaaaaah I missed one to get 770 yeahhh whoooooo… for the second time in a row… yayyyyyyyy e___e

800-770-740 ties this Jan SAT for the harshest math curve ever. the last jan SAT (jan '10) also had 800-770-740. fyi

There have been tougher ones (800-760-740-…) in non-QAS months. But, this does seem to continue a general pattern of relatively easier math tests than in, say, the 2005-2007 period.

hey guys i thot that u get a 770 for example if you get one wrong
shudnt u be given some more if u omitted it?

My son missed 4 math questions and omitted none and got a 680. How is that possible??
