alright, i thought the math section was much harder than the november test. does anyone know what the answer to the circle one where you had to find the radius of the smaller circle? i got the one that was .704 or something. i flat out guessed. and then there was one where you had to find the area of a triangle and it was oddly positioned. gah i hate geometry i forgot it since im in calc this year. which problems did you find difficult?

.414 was the ansswer to that lol

I put .4 something for the circle...I guessed as well..anyone remember the value of t (x coordinate in a quadratic eq graph)?

@ nrhk are you sure about that!! if so I'll be really happy!!!

absolutely i am

I guessed .704 too....

Ugh, I feel so stupid, I just realized I did the problem with the median of the machines cost as the mode of machines cost. I put 7, I think the correct answer's 11? Anyone know?

Also, for the question like how many integers make (2n...)(3n...) negative (sorry I don't remember it exactly), I got 4 (0,1,2,3) by plugging it into y= on my calculator and checking the table. Anyone know the right answer to that?

does any body remember the number of values of n for which (2n+1)(3n-11) is a negative number?
I think it was 4 (n=0,1,2,3,)

put 9 for the quadratic one. but it was a guess. did anyone get an answer to the one with the area of the triangle?

why is it that the Math thread got deleted but not the CR..???

oh and lillyrobin...i got 4 for that one too!

Yep the median one was 11

4 was right.
such is life dearies..

for the quadratic equation i got t=8.9...don't ask me how, I just got it lol...
Anyone know if its right?!?

Its right.. acc to the previous deleted Math thread..

you mean 8.5

mathizlyfe: do you remember if the quadratic one was a multiple choice or a self produced answer?

For the area of the triangle, i remember using trigno...not sure about the answer
what about the cube question? a cube was cut into smaller cubes what was the difference of the surface area of smaller cube and larger cube...I got 6...is it right?

Which section was the math experimental and does anyone know how the curve will be for the math sections?

put 9 for the quadratic one. but it was a guess. did anyone get an answer to the one with the area of the triangle?

the quadratic one was easy.. just find center in the top part (3.5) and then see how far the -1.5 was from 3.5 (5 away) and so add 5 to 3.5 and get 8.5 for t.

For area of triangle (the one that said hypotenuse was 4) you do 30/60/90 properties. so base was 2 and heigh was 2 sqrt 3. And if you do area of triangle formula you get 2 sqrt 3...

I hope that triangle one is right (100 % sure for quadratic one)
