for the square with the circles and you had to find the radius of the small one...i got sqrt 2 -1...anyone else...i though that was right

joe_l514: i got w/4 for that one

joe it was like w=x+y+z what does the arithmetic average or sumthin of w x y and z, i just pluged in numbers for x y and z

it wasn't w/4 because it becomes 2w on the other side...right?

no...its w/2 for sure

hmm.. i got the .704 or w/e but not by guessing.. I made a small 45-45-90 isoc. and just applied properties and the diameter was sqrt 2... so the .704 made sense. can someone explain why that would not have worked...

i'm pretty positive it was w/2.

yea same i got w/4

What did you guys get for the fence problem? Was it 96? (for the grid-in)

//I hate this 60 second limit lol!

a second that griffon

so how bout that little circle radius one still... any takers

carsonne...i got the same answer for that problem as well.

griffon see my post at top of pg 8.

i think its 101 b/c 500/5=100 and then add one for the first post, right?

wait i think i got w/2 or 4 i dunno wait if u plug 1 2 and 3 in for x y and z u get w=6

then u do 6+1+2+3/4 and then wutever is equivelent in the answer, im pretty sure thats how u do it

I concur with griffon. It was w/2

what about the fence problem?

just do the problem again and you'll see its clearly w/2...at one point you had to reduce the fraction 4w/2

the 4 large circles and 1 small circle inside the square

answer: .414 C

yea i got w/2

supersenior i got 101 as well.

edit: fence

shimshimhey: can you explain why?
