Jan. 24 SAT Date

Will MIT accept scores from this upcoming date? They already have my test scores but I want to retake a couple subject SATs. The test is Jan. 24... is it too late?

Edit: Just looked at the collegeboard profile of MIT... it says Feb 15 is deadline to receive these tests. If I rush the scores, does that leave enough time?

No, you do not need to rush report. If you designated MIT as one of the four schools to receive your test scores when you registered for the January SAT then you are fine. MIT receives your SAT scores via instant internet download at the same time as they hit internet , usually at 2:00 AM on the results day. So for example, if the results day for Jan 24 SAT scores is 7 February, MIT will receive your scores at the same instant when they are online i.e. 2:00 AM on February 7th. Late that day, when MIT staff arrives on work, they download your scores and link them to your application folder.

Believe me, I have monitored all this score reporting process. Just register MIT as one of the four schools receiving your Jan 24 scores.

GOOD LUCK ON YOUR SAT.

From the MIT admissions webpage, here:

January: Last month to take standardized tests for Regular Action application. If you take the January test, you must list MIT as a school to receive your scores when you take the test or we will not receive them in time for our review.

So as long as you list MIT as a score recipient, the January test is fine for RD.
