<p>The January math curve was actually pretty typical. An average SAT math curve goes: 800,790,760,740,720,710…</p>
<p>You should think of the difficulty of the test in the same way as flipping a coin: the flip you just got has nothing to do with what you’ll get next…</p>

<p>The average math curve is -1 = 780. This year has been brutal until January for math. -1 = 790 is a freakin’ godsend. </p>
<p>January was hard, too. Unless your friends got 2300+, it was hard for them too.</p>
