wry amusement is wat i said

valleity, yes.

yeah I said wry amusement

feigned innocence or wry amusement. I was stumped. I put wry..

good i put wry amusement too and i put the one where pass 2 had to do with demographics

demographics is what i put

noooo vellleity that was not the answer

i changed that at the last minute...

it was the one that said passage 2 describes its implications.. or something like that.

how about the back to back passages about science what were some of ur answers

What about the rock n' roll one where they asked for the main difference between the two passages?

I chose the one that said something about Passage 1 claiming that rock n' roll grew from "dissent".

that rock music thing was by far the most ridiculous thing i've ever read.

what was the answer to the question comparing the two passages? i put like, "passage one thinks rock music is rebellious by nature, and passage two claims it has become a part of every day life." maybe that's how it was phrased?

also for the question about the company, i got moribund (it means to be almost dying), for the vacation one it was obviously proximity, since it said "NOT one of similar tastes", the people who discovered hale-bop were amateurs (a fact!), and the one about the woman being scared was nonplussed, which i just had to look up to be sure.

what was the one about juan? i put like, aversion to introspection or something.

i might be wrong...

i think it was wry amusement any1 else??

also, dck7, i was told january had easier curves! oh no!

I put aversion to introspection for that one question..

Why is everyone confident about wry amusement, though? It says that the people were something like slightly innocent in the passage a couple sentences before the excerpt, which is why I put feigned innocenece

wouldn't the jan test have easier curves because the ED admits wouldn't be taking the test, and possibly more juniors (2010)?

i also put feigned innocence!

wooow this thread is really starting to give me confidence after i guessed like 90% of my critical reading answers -.-

but it also said that some knew, some didn't. So you can't pretend to be something that you don't know. Again, not sure..

it said if asked if the painting was genuine they wouldnt lie that it was so they wouldnt fake being innocent

and the sentence with the collaboration it said something about doing it for pleasure and excitement or something which is why i put wry amusement

im not sure though those were my 2 choices and it was pretty hard

it's wry amusement because the customers would be in on duping others, along w/ the painter.

prep 8, you have like a pretty solid point and now i'm trying to think back to the passage.

i think you might be right! oh no! but good for you!
