~January 2009 SAT I Results Thread~

congrats to all SAT '09 test takers!!!

2060 :[ first time taking… I hoped it was my last but I guess not.

^2060 sounds fine to me :D

I’m none too pleased…argh.
Was aiming for a 2300+…ended up with 2290.
CR 770
Math 790
Writing 730 (bahh)
-8 on essay (was expecting higher…)
-76 MC (how did I get 3 wrong?)

Anyway, it’s ironic because writing was my highest section on all of my practice tests, and math my lowest. I guess I must have been more careful with careless mistakes (haha) on math this time and just forgot about the writing.

Anyway, dunno whether to retake or not. On the one hand, 1560 is really good. But on the other, I’m just too unhappy with my writing score… I mean, I think I’m a good writer, and I want my score to reflect that.
Sorry for the novel, just wanted to say good job everyone!

2060 is a good score.

Critical reading-740—Epic win!!
Math-590—I’m math ■■■■■■■■ so I was expecting this
Writing 550—Ooohhh epic faaaaaiiiiiiil. 6 on the essay :frowning: I’m not a bad writer either! Just when I have to write an essay in 25 minutes and I go for content and not length I am…

^^^ 2290 is nothing to be upset about… i scored 100 points below you (2190) so i feel the same way about the 2200 but you can’t be upset with that score… thats deff 99+ percentile… not too many (at least outside CC lol) can say that

thanks, I guess i’m sort of nonchalant about it. I mean I got W- 690 M- 690 and W-680 so at least I was consistent!

thanks xs0itg0esx… i’m fairly happy really. just a bit disappointed with the writing.
good job on the 2190!

first time taking:

CR - 680

…a 2060 - nothing too brilliant, but much better than my 193 on PSATs!

how do you guys think a 2060 fairs? I’m definitely going to take it again, probably in June.

How do you find how many questions you missed in each section?

CR: 680

A lot better than I thought I did! My original goal was to get over 2000 so I’m happy I did… I’m probably gonna retake it again to try and get 2200+, but I’m happy with my first time’s result.

You find out on Feb 21st, when the score reports for the SAT reasoning tests are released. You can how many questions you missed and it is broken down into categories.

Comp: 2150

11 (essay)

YEAH IM HAPPY!!!

Yeah, you find out how many you got wrong in each section when the full score report comes out Feb 21.
But, I have an idea of how many questions I got wrong, just from skimming CC. And you can estimate too, based on the curve.

everyone, be happy with your scores!! I scored a 1920 and I’m satisfied with it. The other part of the application matters as much as the SAT too. In fact they can even outweigh a ‘bad’ SAT score  Is anyone here applying for Fall 2009 enrollment? We gotta rush these scores…

Son’s score (since this is for NMF purposes only he is one and done ~ he will use the ACT for college admittance purposes).

Comp: 1490 / 2170
