January 2009 SAT Math Discussion

same timing for the previous answer

I had no knitting, that must’ve been experimental
There was a question with a circle, a point P and a tangent line, I think it was a grid-in. You had to find the slope of a line perpendicular to the tangent line that also went through P. What did everyone get?

But the game between A and B only happens once, though it is counted twice- once by each team.

does anybody remember a question that said

1/x

the tenths digit is 1
the hundreths digit is 3

was 12 choice C then? for the games question
also what the k-1/k digit…? i rushed. and can anybody confirm the books q?

AB BC DC
AC BD
AD

thats 6 games

multiply that by two, and you get 12 :)

hey i got 5to 21 too. what about the question with the circle y=xsquared
and there was a line it was asking the slope

wait the last grid in (slope of the tangent) was 4/3???

I think it’s 8. Bc k=7.5

did anyone else run out of time… i made a big mistake not preparing myself to be finish before time was called

does anybody remember a question that said

1/x

the tenths digit is 1
the hundreths digit is 3

was K 8?

@Jp- 8? kinda tried different numbers

i got 5/4 ahh

I said 8 for the digits one.

what was the answer for that, i ran out of time
but i guessed and put 3/2

hey JP, what did that question ask? because i am starting to remember parts of it

damn ti-89 messed me up so badly. it was my second time using it and it gave me a damn fraction when i said 1/.13333

it gave me
1/.13333
aaa and i ran out of time. one blank one wrong prob

also got 8.

i feel silly for asking, but what about the one with the quadrants? i have a feeling i rushed and got the wrong answer…

oh yeah ^ what was that one
and the last grid in

so did we decide wat was the answer to the sequence question

5,a,b,5

something like that
