January 2010 - Math Level 2

42.5 and higher? that’d be awesome, but in my opinion highly unlikely.

Yeah I did too! And none of it turned up -__- also they asked two right circular cylinder questions. i thought that was odd

blizzardpenguin, i’m not too sure but hopefully. In the official collegeboard study guides 43+ is an 800 and 42.5 rounds up. So let’s hope it’s around that !

Yeah. I think the only memorized formula I used was the cosine rule to find the length of the chord in the circle.

Wow, I guessed on the Quadratic Regression problem (I think I misread it, I just plotted the points in my calculator, didn’t think to find an equation of best fit) and got 4.9. Thank FSM!

i was stressing out about the matrix and conics stuff and spent lots of time studying them but i dont recall seeing any on this test… ■■■ >.<

GUYS YOU DON’T NEED THAT AMAZING TI-89 TO SOLVE THAT QUADRATIC REGRESSION PROBLEM… it’s there on ti-83. So stop whining…

Look at STAT and highlight CALC column and you see QuadReg (5)

Anymore questions on specific problems?

not really
i think you guys covered all the “difficult” questions
i think i missed a grand total of 8

for that question with 180 and n^k, is it 180/n^k or n^k/180 :(

Here are my answers:

quad reg = 4.9 100% sure
prime number I got C… Anyone else get that?

Other than that I think I aced it… Besides the 3 I left blank

Guys, I omitted 5 questions. And probably guessed 4 questions… so what score would it be?
Anyone have an idea?
Blizzard and Miao or ladadium?

I got 700 on Dec one which I thought I did great on. But for today’s test, I was little bit panicking when I got to like 30-40 questions. And it was easy toward the end.

So what do you think?
Do you guys think the curve would be kind to us ?
Or is it like same score range?

(and i thought about the psychology thingy. And I’m thinking that many of people who consider this one “hard” are so panicking that they already cancelled their scores, resulting in the numbers of the applicants in the score pool.)

What would be the approx score for 42 skipped and 6 missed?

I believe it was 180/n^k and I got 6 bc 180/6^2=5

answer was a

@fireflake

Probably around -500.

Jman, the prime number one was E. 2 is a prime number.
Several people a few hours ago agreed on E

pjs31203, i think im in the same boat as you 'cause i either left blank/guessed for about 8 questions. im already thinking about cancelling the score 'cause i dont think the curve is gonna be that generous…

gildedmushroom~have you taken the math lv II before?

anyone remember the question for the physics?

No this is my first Math II… hopefully my last
