January 2010 SAT Score Prediction

800 Math
720? CR (5 wrong)
760? W (2 wrong 10 essay)
can anybody confirm my predictions for me

760-780 CR (3 omit, 2 wrong)
790-800(MAYBE 1 wrong, 10+ essay)
750-770 Math(2 wrong?)

What do you guys think a -4 raw in math will be? What about -5?

@costanza - based on this:http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/SAT-Released-Test-Curves.pdf

680 - 710, I’m guessing 680 or 690 though.

I’m freakin’ nervous and want to know my scores! I can’t believe that it’s only been 2 days!! I’ll probably have died from frustration before the 11th. :

^ At least it doesn’t take as long as the PSAT.

Thanks for helping me out silverturtle. This is what you said:

Last question - could please tell me how much a 10 on the essay would improve my score. Once again, thank you.

^ 670 would go to 710.

I never asked my counselor for my PSAT scores, so I haven’t gotten them back yet. I’m anxiously waiting for Wednesday when I do get them back.

Anyway, can anyone estimate my scores?

CR: -4 and 1 omit, or -5 and 0 omit (not sure what I did)
Writing: -1 or 2, 10 essay

Silver turtle:

 • 10 wrong Math
 • 5 wrong writting 10/12 essay
 • 13 off on CR

What’s that?

Thankss!

wooops i was just talking about writing and i found errors regarding tense in my own post on cc…

What would these points yield?
-4/-5 CR
-2 Writing 11/12 Essay
-2 M

CR: 740
Writing: 790/760

CR: 640
Math: 640
Writing: 700/730

CR: 746/740
Math: 760
Writing: 770/790

hmm I know I got 2 math questions wrong so anyone know what a -2 would be for a test this easy?

760 most likely, possibly 750.

lakersfan72: I’m assuming that -4 in Critical Reading means four of the 67 questions were wrong, and so on. If so, these would be your scaled scores:

Critical Reading: 67-4 = raw score of 63 = 780 scaled score…

Math: 54-1 = raw score of 53 = 800 scaled score.

Writing: 49-1= raw score of 48 on multiple choice questions and a 10 on the essay = 790 scaled score.

I’m hesistant to question the SAT expert, but…

If someone missed four questions on CR, the raw score would be 62 not 63. This would probably yield a scaled score of 760. Even with a raw score of 63, 780 is perhaps too generous (770 is more common).

One wrong on Math will almost certainly not yield 800. 770-780 is significantly more likely.

hey silver turtle what would

CR -6
Math -1
Writing -2 10/11 Essay

be?
