January 2010 SAT Score Prediction

baby I’m impressed Kean lol

whisperofrain, you have a penalty of 0.25 for every question you got wrong, so if you got 10 wrong, your raw score would be
67-10-2.5= 54.5, rounded to 55. (if my calculation is right)

The real score you’d get for your raw score would depend on the curve.

Thank you!

Hey guys

what do you think the curve is going to be for CR this time compared to like October…a friend got 8 wrong in Oct, made a 700, while another got 9/10 wrong in November and got 650. What kind of curve/difficulty you think of the CR today?

I’m expecting an average curve in CR, a slightly strict curve in Math (test was pretty easy), and a slightly liberal curve in Writing (there were some weird questions).

I have taken the SAT 4 times—>so im such a loser?
the thing is that, im lazy, i procrastinate a lot. signing up for it just motivates me.

n i have no prep course/tutor/whatever.
my english teacher last year was harsh; when i asked him is he could helo improve my writing cuz i sucked at essays (both in school and on sats), he said it was none of his business…

i only did 2 practice tests on the official guide…
i mean nobody is gonna score my essay, and its not like collegeboard will use the same questions anyways…
cant colleges tell that at least ive been improving…?? w. potential?
i sent all scores to them, which will show up as 590---->690; 800 down and up; 560—>700
or they’d just think im a joke, assuming i prepared the test like everyone else?

Hey could someone help me predict?

-1 CR
-1 (MC) and -1 (Grid In) Math
-5 W w/ 11 Essay

Thanks!

CR: 800
Math: 750 or 760
Writing: 710

Great, thanks!

Man, 30 shy of a 2300 =/ If only I hadn’t botched math…

Expecting:
800 CR (-1 I think)
800 M
??? W

I remember very few of my writing MC answers but I’m pretty confident. My essay was uninspiring but seemed to meet the requirements of an SAT essay, anyway. I don’t think 800 is an unrealistic hope.

So, 2400? Maybe? Certainly no lower than 2350 or so.

Math- (-1)- 750- 780?
Cr- (-5)- 720- 750?
Writing- (12, -1)- 740- 800?
2210- 2320- Hopefully on the higher end

Reading: 780-800 (checked all answers, depending on curve)
Math: 790-800
Writing: not sure. I think I did well. Around 750-800.

As for essay, I think I did at least a 10.

What can I expect with -4 and 0 omits on CR? what about -5 and 0 omits?

what do u think i will get on MATH with:
2 wrong on MC
1 wrong grid-in

730 - 750 most likely

What is :

Math
-1 MC
-1 Grid-in
-2 omit?

Anyone want to give me estimates? I’d be forever grateful.

CR: six or seven wrong, none omitted
Math: four omitted MC, none wrong
Writing: 8 essay, none wrong, none omitted

@erginaphalange

CR: 700-730
Math: 710-730
W: 740-770

I have absolutely no idea how I did on the essay… hopefully at least an 8 or so…
Math: I don’t disagree with any of the answers posted (but I don’t remember what I put for everything either), but I don’t think I could possibly get a perfect score, so I’ll say at least 770.
CR: Hmm… maybe a 740 or so? I don’t think I did too badly, but it didn’t feel great either.
W: About the same, 740 or 750ish

All of this just depends on the curve anyways though, so I suppose I’m just going to have to wait until I get my scores…

Anyone wants to estimate mine?

CR: 5-6 wrong, none omitted
M: none wrong, none omitted
W: 2-3 wrong, none omitted, 9-10 essay

Thanks =)

2050 pls

Cr 600
M 720
W 730
