You can use “did good” but not in the way Sadahila used it. You can say “You did good by helping the community.” You cannot say “I did good on the test.”

Hahahaha Silverturtle. Win

[good - Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary](Good Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster) works as an adverb occasionally. Even as a direct object, “good” works, though: one can do something that is good on an essay.

Wait, who’s the “you”?

Good luck to everyone!

Good luck this weekend! : )

…although I’m hella nervous. I just took a practice test and scored miserably. >_>"

Ok, ok,ok!

I’m taking the SAT for the first time Saturday and my vocabulary is ok, but not stellar. I’ve Direct Hits is really good for vocab words. Is this true? What book or word list do you like to use?

Do I buy a copy of Direct Hits or can I get it online?

Thanks, need help!

for those of you who get high scores such as 2200s and 2300s, what is your method and approach to cr passages and problems.

coollege, I think you have to buy a book of DH, and DH toughest vocab. buy them from amazon. they’re great. hope you’re not taking the SAT next week.

Yep, Im taking it the 23rd lol.

But it is my first time and I’m expecting about what my PSAT scre was, 194, so 1940. Hoping to eventually get to 2100.

But yeah, I’m taking this week. Would Borders or Barnes and Noble have a copy? Does DH change every year or for every test?

Thanks

There are currently two editions that have been released; the more recent is the 2010 edition.

Ok.

Thanks shmluza and silverturtle.

I don’t know if they have those books in the bookstores you mentioned, but you can try. I just went over DH, not its sequel. I kind of feel bad about it but i don’t have time. however, i have a princeton wordsmart disk set that I’ve been listening to. I finished most of that- i’m not saying i retained the words but at least I think it helped. many words are the same with those in DH and DH II. WS has a lot more words though. I kind of like it. it tells you where the words come from, like DH does. the disk is okay. people there try to be funny yet sometimes corny. but it helped me with my vocab. plus I travel quite a bit to skate so it is good to listen to the CD.

Anyway, best of luck everyone. thanks for all those who helped me…

UGH!
How does a CR score fall 60 (projected) points when you study it more than everything else??! And we’re talking in a single month!!!

Is overstudying for this even possible? My problem is with the passages so it’s not even a vocabulary issue >.<

Yep, neither of them had it. I’m going to call one other place, and if that doesn’t work I’m going to just order it online through Amazon or Barnes and Noble.

Thanks everyone.

holy crap. 4 days.

I was born ready.

I don’t feel prepared at all :(

^
Neither do I, but it is my first time, so I have a couple more chances.

Dropped the ball by not picking up DH, but oh well. I’ll study hard for math this time and CR next time.

i havent studied for this at all after the oct test last year
