January 2010 SAT

Does anyone think it will be harder/averaged than the December 2009 test? I really though the December exam was difficult. =(

I hope it will be a little easier.

I don’t think anyone foreknows the test’s difficulty. Obviously, though, I’m hoping for an easy test!

I think the curve should be a wee bit easier than October as it will be more concentrated with juniors than seniors. Though it will probably not be as easy a curve as March through May.

dude i hope the writing section is easy cuz i wanna 800 soooooooooooo badly

and a 800 in math

forget the cr tho

the January sat will be my first. got the blue book and just started looking through it. i’ve never read a book outside of school so essay examples i’m going to struggle on.

The january will also be my first attempt. As for examples, you can just make a up a book and state something from that book that seems relevant to the essay question.
I always use 3 examples.

1 Historical figure

2 Made-up person

3 Made-up novel :)

if you know you will do well…you will!! Thats the secret…
practice helps:)

My guess is that the january test will be curved more, because the 7th and 8th graders test for Duke TiP in january.
I’m not sure if their scores count towards the curve, but that would be awesome if they did!

^ Curves are predetermined. (Additionally, the averages for those gifted youth programs are around the national average for seniors.)

i am so SCREWEDDD for the essay

so am i. :(

how do u make up a novel? i think it’s safe to make up person, but shouldn’t make up novel. they most likely know.

oh it´s easy to make up a novel, most of the times u can adapt the storyline so it´ll fit ur your point ^^

really?? do you guys all make up a novel? haha you’re spurious! but it sounds cool. I’ve never done it and it’s too late for me to learn. any examples? can you let me look at an essay you wrote with made up novels? i’m just very curious. believe me i’m not a grader. :D
