January 2010 Writing Thread

use this thread for writing questions......what did you all think?

what did you say about the profound influence one

anyone get the beaver question? hated that one…

^ That one was hard, I think I eliminated it down to A and E or something.

I think the answer was “so profoundly influenced…”

Example: He was so good at movies that he became a rockstar.

All I remember about the beaver one was that the main clause came last - if that makes sense.

i had C. <person> has so profoundly influenced modern <cant remember=“”></cant></person>

No. I thought it was “such.”!

last answer for beaver

I got pwned by writing :(

Did you guys get an Irish passage? I had two writing sections.

Anyone else had c for the profound influence question?

^Yeah, I had ‘so profoundly influenced’ which I think was C.

And for the beaver one I think I got D. or maybe it was E…haha well it was one of the last two.

I had an experimental writing section. Does anyone remember what the passage was?

i thought writing was hard

^ It was however something I think.

I put “has so profoundly” also…

I thought about putting “so profoundly” but by that logic just “profoundly” works as well without significantly changing the meaning…

What did you guys put for the local news reporter and the chairman? A or E… both were very similar

Also what about the last question of the test?

Agency report states that, they have succeeded in reducing…blahblah
or
Agency report states that, the industrial, blahblah

Last was E I think.

And the chairman I don’t remember what I chose, but I was also stuck between A and E.

it was E, the one that started with “it”

The agency reported that by reducing [whatever], IT has succeeded in [whatever]

And I don’t remember the chairman question…what was the sentence like?

The improving paragraphs questions were about a passage on wind power.

There was one question about Columbus and the number of people which discovered America, anyone know the answer to it?

I think the agency one was E, because otherwise it seems like the industry regulations, or something, were the ones who performed the action.
