I just finished my test!!!. It was hard/easy and i noticed that though i read everything thoroughly i still had time to spare. Did you guys feel this way?

Me too!! Exactly hard/eady! i tottally know what you mean!, I just came back, but I didnt have any time left.

You guys this is the same test from May 2010 and October 2009

^true
+++++

When is the embargo lifted?

^it has been

Just finished. It was easier than expected, but I had SO much trouble understanding what the poets meant.

The last poem killed me…also I had a bit of trouble when I started rushing when 10 minutes was called. I hope that doesn’t hurt me too much…I also kind of rushed through the drama scene dialogue. Gahhh. I’m going to get sooo played when scores come in.

I had a really hard time with the first poem -___- I think I’m going to get a really bad score… but I didn’t study so I guess I get what I deserve

This test killed me. The passages made no sense at all.

What did you guys get for

the meaning of ‘fortitude’ (passage with the family and the eloping daughter)

what you can infer from the line about birds (poem about man’s restlessness)

I’d like to discuss the test a bit more, so if any of you have AIM/MSN/Facebook I’d love to be able to chat about it–please PM me!

For the first when I said stoic stature…
For the second I said the birds marked time periods or something

I wasn’t quite sure about the birds one. I said the same thing you did, but I thought it might’ve also been the one about their mechanical role in nature… hm

I’m thinking I put that they were content with what God gave them or something along those lines. I had to rush through that section because 10 minutes was called. I’m wondering how the curve will be. Is it going to be harsher because the test has been recycled?

Same answers here. I am almost certain of the birds one, but not equally certain about stoic one.

That was the first SAT I’ve ever taken. Gosh, that was rough. I was especially troubled with the play excerpt.

^ Sameeeeee.

Then again I had to rush through that section because I was running out of time (I feel like I’ve said that so many times today O_o)

I thought the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern excerpt was pretty easy; seemed as though all of the answers were pretty much right there in the text. I struggled a bit with the poems, though.

I’m going to say I probably got like 10 wrong…hopefully.

From reading past Lit test threads most of the tests are recycled. You could actually just go through the posts from the last two years to prepare. I doubt it would have any effect on the curve.

Well that’s good to hear. And gosh, I wish I had known that beforehand…
