i got f(x) = x cubed for the b>a problem

Money and percentage? I totally forgot that one. I remember an 18.2 as well though.

no at x = 100, y = 1…i’m positive. lol i was so confused on that question though at first

Wait a second, what exactly was the b>a problem?

it was like…for which equation is a > b and f(a) > f(b) always true?

Ah, for the period I think I put y=0 What was the value of y when x=10?

Oh, yeah, x^3 is correct for that one :P

it doesn’t really matter, because the period didn’t start at x = 0. the period actually started at x = -4 and then stretched to x = 3, so the period wasn’t at an exact interval. and at x = 3, y = 0 so you just go on from there

It was 11/29
Did anyone get 1.75 for the collinear triangles?

uuuuh i dont remember does anyone remmeber how it looked like? i think the angles were weird numbers

@LovexLight, I’m not sure if I’m mistaken, but wasn’t y=0 also true for x=4? If that’s the case, then the period would happen every 6 rounds. And since we have x=10, y=0, I assumed that since the extra 90 units to the right would result in x=100 being 0.

I am most probably wrong though :D

Um it was big right triangle with a smaller triangle in it. The outer angle was 35 and the other was 42 x was .5 u had ti find the height

@austraboy haha yeah that’s what i meant. i think one period had 7 units though…it was -3 to 4

Oh, another question. There was a question with the pyramid, and what the altitude of each triangular face was. It was easy - rad(2^2 + 8^2).

@elmo rox: waait what was 0.5? lol i’m trying to resolve the problem

ElmoRox, I forgot what my answer was, but what I did, was I found the length of the largest side of the smaller triangle, and did 0.5(ax)(sin angle)=0.5(x)(h), where we can find a from the sin rule, and we are given x is equal to 0.5. Hence, you can find h. However, you can also solve this problem doing the sin rule twice :P

…hopefully that’s what i did

Overall I don’t think I’ll get an 800, maybe like a 770-780 - but that’s okay, I only studied 2 days for the test anyways. I think I’ll repeat it in May - it really isn’t a hard test, you just got to be quick and be careful for silly mistakes. Also, it’s pretty disadvantageous doing a test like this in the winter cold, especially when your test center doesn’t turn on the heat! :(

Yeah austraboy is right root(68) was the altitude

i remmeber that the square base of the pyramid had a side of 6…does anyone remember what the height was?
