2200 on the nose. They’re good scores, but I can do better. May 7th here I come. And June 4th for the subject tests.

2310 Total

800 CR
740 M
770 W

I’m super happy for the 2300+ (: A little irked that my math is the lowest (I’d really like to apply to Engineering schools), but I’ll just study really hard and ace the math II subject test!

Congrats everyone!

to the 2400’ers: **? congratulations, but
this was my first time taking it (taking it again in March) and I actually thought i did pretty good, but now i’m doubting myself lol
650 M (bad I know, but I averaged 600 on practice tests so LOL amazing score)
690 CR (averaged 710, 720 on practice tests but…OK)
700 W 10 essay (was hoping for a higher 700)
2040 overall.
a little dissapointed that my highest was just a 700, but this is my first time so i’m ok. Was expecting a 1900 something so…now I hope i can get a 2100+ on the March.

^ Did pretty well, not good. :P

Good luck! I went up from 2050 to 2250.

wow people here are receivng 2000 and above and I here with a meager score of 1700 wish I wasnt a senior though oh well

cr 560
m 540
w 600
essay 12 - which is quite a suprise

1st time:
CR: 770 :frowning:
Math: 800
Writing: 800
M/C 80
Essay 12

Total 2370…

221 on the PSAT and I thought I totally rocked the SAT, breezed through it! And it comes back a 1900, i’m really wondering what went wrong. I was completely sure on nearly all my answers and had time to check them all…

Same as me, Ninmage, including that it was my first time.

The only difference is I managed to get 80/9 on writing but still got 800.

@redragon: writing curve was generous I think. Not sure about CR curve though

First time taking the SAT

Critical Reading: 580
Math: 650
Writing: 670
= 1900

My major is Graphic Design or Illustraion, and I heard that they don’t take SAT too seriously… Do I need to retake the SAT? :(

First time taker, and I am just shocked. I got 2100+ I had 99% for PSAT and consistently getting 2300+ in practice tests at the prep. I don’t usually make mistakes. Anyone had similar experience? I don’t know how to think about the results and where to go from here. I was expecting an easy high 2300+ if not 2400. What has happened to me that day? Help please…

same with me. i kept on getting 2300+ on blue book practice tests, and got only 2160 in december, studied a little more, and 2250 second time. no where near what i was getting in practice tests. i guess its test day anxiety? idk…it doesn’t make sense.

Because it’s impossible to recreate an actual test-taking scenario with practice tests, and they aren’t always absolute indicators of how you will perform on the actual SAT. It’s usually test-day anxiety that causes the discrepancy.

Will I do better for the second time then? I am so sick of studying for SAT. I really want to be done with. Any advise as to how to overcome the anxiety?

@Hamlet: It’s all just luck. Seriously. Take it again, and just think optimistically and be psyched about it. Make sure you feel well prepared. My scores fluctuated so much:

PSAT: 219
SAT: 2310

And my blue book practice scores have been around 2400 some times to 2250.

2000 but looking towards 2300 by June.

CR:630
M:630
W:660
Total:1920

PSAT:187

this was my first time, so now i really know what to work on.

how in the world did you guys get 12s on the essays (and some of you even missed some mc! how in the world does one get only a 600 on the writing with an amazing score of 12 on the essay… so you can write THAT well but still do poorly on the mc which is extremely easy?)
not a single person i know got a 12 on the essay this administration
i got an 11 on mine in oct but i knew a couple who got 12s then

^ um its called things happen i mean you could have strengths in essays it doesnt have to always correlate with your MC and I bet your score was superb so stop crying
