January 2011 SAT Results

After looking through the results of my peers, I’m somewhat embarrassed to show my scores…

CR-620
Math-680
Writing-670 (69/8)

I’m SERIOUSLY ****ed that I didn’t get 750+ on math. I’m planning on taking the test once more in March so I can try get an 800 in Math… I honestly don’t know how you guys get 700+ on CR. The passages were really difficult for me.

im pretty sure im ■■■■■■■■
math- 800
cr- 670
writing- 690 (12 essay)
2160
I completely wasted my 12 essay any1 have good ways to increase writing and readings scores im trying to reach atleast 2300

What was the curve on this test??? im just wondering. Whats the most i can get wrong on each section for a 800? and assuming i get at least a 10 on the essay.

Where is my detailed score report? It’s 15 Feb now…

the detailed report is now online…OMG…I feel satisfied when I see the score report, but I feel depressed when I see the detailed one!

I did fill 2 pages with “medium high” handwriting…result: 9/12

Wheeeo, I’ve just seen my detailed score report of the Jan SAT.

I received a score of 710 for 3 wrong questions on the Maths sections.
What a harsh curve ^^

My daughter took the test is January and we got her score report today online. A couple things surprised me. She only missed two difficult math questions and received a score of 740 - meaning 30 points off for each question she missed. (I know the level of difficulty doesn’t matter in scoring.) In CR, she missed 8 questions and recieved a 690 - meaning less than 14 points for each question missed. I know it’s based on a curve of how everyone did but the math score deduction was surprising. I called collegeboard.com and asked for the chart that provides scoring based on the number of questions answered correctly but they said they don’t publish that information. (That chart is available for the PSAT.) Would others be willing to post their scores with the number of questions missed? Of course, you talented students that received a 2400 don’t need to post : )

Thanks.

(I posted this on another conversation stream also.)

I’m a bit annoyed now, -3 on math = 710…

-10 CR = 670
-3 WR + 10 essay = 730

BJcollege, I got two wrong and got a 740 too.

I guess the math scoring means that so many students answered all the questions correctly that missing only 1,2,3 had a major impact on your score. Congrats to those with an 800.

Is it possible for junior to score a 2350+?

Of course it’s possible…half the people on CC have 2350+s and I know three juniors personally who have 2400s.

Wow! It’s acme! But to be honest, there is only 1% of juniors 2350+ers. I mean it’s about 1% of 100%. Otherwise, the average wouldn’t be a 1500.

CR: 740
M: 650
W: 760
2150. A lot better than what I expected. I’m aiming for at least 2200 next time.

2 on mc, 10 on essay = 790
Now that I have reread my essay, I realize that I should have scored lower. Maybe its because I filled both pages completely that I was able to score a 10.

Where can I find my essay? I must be overlooking it, but I swear there’s not a link anywhere on my score report…

@choyphin
How did you get a 790 with -2 MC? I got -2 MC and a 10 on the essay and got a 760. O:

@ choyphin

Are you international? I missed two on the writing with a 10 essay and got a 760 as well.
