going4gold, as an 8th grader, you have valuable information and experience having taken the real SAT. just use practice tests until you are ready to take it again. maybe take the ACT for comparison.

I must have messed up my writing…
after one of the breaks i opened my answer sheet to the wrong section and bubbled in the wrong sections o.O nerve wracking but I thought I copied and fixed all the bubble-ins correctly…

Angry doesn’t even tell half of how I feel. 2120, definitely not my best performance.

I would love to know the CR curve as well as what I got what in Math.

sMITten - thanks. i took ACT in 7th, got 21 overall & got duke tip so i guess it’s ok. just wanted to do better on sat math. i was surprised at M480 cuz math isn’t hard for me. i was sick during test so might be part of what’s going on. probably will keep up with practice tests but wanted to see what i could do before it counts.

But I’m only in 8th grade.

How do you guys already have information about essay score and percentile? All I have is 3 numbers.

■■■. from a 216 on the psat to a 2010 on the SAT

1rts Attemp: 650 CR, 680 M, 680 CR. Wow an 80 to a 680 in math, what a bummer will def retake, and do colleges care if you retake?

WHATISTHIS
How many careless mistakes did I make to get a 740 in math? And why does my writing svck so much?! I consistently scored 800s in writing on practice tests and <700 in cr. ><
See y’all in march…

Also, I’d like to remind everyone that failure is entirely subjective. The 2200s have as much of a right to be upset and complain as do the <2000s

^ You must have made 2 tiny mistakes.

And I’d kill for your CR score :P

I’m so happy with my results.

800 math
800 writing (12 on essay and all multiple choice)
620 reading
Total - 2220

Even though the reading was so low, I feel so relieved because now I can just study vocabulary and use score choice. First time taking it, so I’ll take it in June and hopefully break 700 in reading and be done!

Everyone here is a spoiled nerd

Definitely wasn’t expecting the 800 in Writing and sorta disappointed that I didn’t get 800 in Math which I considered my strongest area. CR sucked but I always suck at CR so it’s to be expected. Anyways, I improved from my 2200 so I can’t complain :)

lol CR and math. Here was my problem, i studied 2 days before the test silverturtle’s grammar guide mainly focused on writing since i had gotten a 46 writing on psat. jumped up 290 points in 2 days basically lol. guess next time its going to be the CR and math in 2 days.

@Presidont
That makes me feel a bit better. I’m definitely retaking. I’ve scored 800s in both writing and math on practice tests, and I need to learn how not to make such careless mistakes.

I am proud of my cr score, though. I’ve struggled with that for a while :)

SCORE IS NOT AVAILABLE AHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I hate my life…

YEAH!! Thank the Packers! Luck is with me! I’ve achieved my goal of 2000+ on my first SAT(although i bet CCers here got hundreds more points on their first SAT)!! As predicted, writing sucked. as well as my corny essay hahaha Here goes a copy and paste:
01/2011 SAT Reasoning Test
Critical Reading 700 95%
Math 710 94%
Writing 620 86%

I was thinking to myself during the test,“why are there so few writing questions.” I am pretty sure I skipped some writing questions and writing is my BEST section, I make 700’s in writing on the practice tests, so that really lowers my score and makes me mad. But I’m a sophomore and the BS/MD program I’m going to apply to only sees scores from Math and Critical reading.
