January 2013 SAT I Experimental

Could somebody clarify to me this: do all the experimental sections differ between people? So if I get a section that other people had, it most likely means that it’s not an experimental?

If that’s the case, did anybody else have that writing section with the part about art, mystery, foamy foods and einstein?

@beefmo Yes, experimental section vary from person to person. Further, just because two testers had a reading experimental, that doesn’t necessarily maintain that they had the same section. I had an experimental CR on literary criticism that I found particularly hard, as I thought the other CR’s to be comparatively easy.

I don’t recall any writing section with foamy foods; the other topics are too vague for me to recollect.

I don’t remember any math question with two constants.

anyone remember if your 35 Q writing section had a resistors (technology users) passage at the end? or if not, what it was?

I had 2 35 multiple choice writing sections for sections 4 and 5. 4 was much harder than 5; I felt like some of the questions were weird and got more no errors than usual. I forget which one had which questions because they were so close to each other, but can anyone determine whether it was 4 or 5 that was the experimental one?

Seeing as most people had a question about the Pakistani guy studying indian history or something, that is the real writing section. My first 35 Q section had a lot of no errors and weird shenanigans too. Hopefully, that was the experimental. Do you remember which section had that question?

No, sorry. :frowning: I feel like writing questions are much harder to remember because it’s not like CR where you have to understand the content. But I do remember one question from the harder one where it said something like Ontario has a greater population than either _____ or _____. and you had to decide whether it was like greatest, greater, etc. I had trouble on that one because although there are several populations, either is singular.

Had a writing experimental with sections 4 and 7 being writing (35 questions). Im pretty sure the first was experimental if anybody had the same situation.

I’m in england and I had 3 writing sections (2 long, one short) so I think that one of those will be the exp. … but it makes me really upset because I thought they were easy… whereas my readings were unexpectedly hard… :(

does anyone know which math section was expiremental?

I had four CR and the ones I remember were architecture, seahorse, Organic compounds, Japanese rice, and Cold war

Which one do you think was experimental for the two math bubble in?

I didn’t have compounds
i had sea horse cold war and japanese rice and i didn’t have an experimental.

Why doesn’t anyone know which math was experimental? I had two grid-ins. Was it the one with the question at the end with two variables and square roots?

I would love to know which math was experimental. Everyone keeps talking about the CR one… I had two grid-ins as well. (The problem is, I also don’t remember exactly which math questions were in which section.)

I did not have math experimental, the one with the cylinders with the answer 1500 is the one I had

I had that one and had CR experimental

Was the cylinder one in the same section as the square root with two variables at the end? One of the grid-ins was very easy and the other abnormally difficult, so I am hoping the second one doesn’t count.

The grid-in section with the train was REAL. It was not experimental.

Omg I don’t remember what one that the train was in. Can you just let me know if the section with two integer variables and the square root (last question) was experimental

I don’t think that one was experimental because I only had one grid in and that was it.
