2140 660 Reading, 680 Math and 800 Writing! 10 on the essay.

This was an extremely interesting exam for me. I walked out fairly confident I would ace this exam.

CR - 720
Math - 750
Writing - 800
Essay - 11

I take the SAT professionally for my company, and this is the lowest score I’ve ever gotten so I am disappointed.

Would anybody interested in an answer guide if I choose to publish one when I get the QAS back?

The essay killed my writing score- jujujube, I got the exact same writing score: 80 MC, 8 essay. Argh indeed. My math was only a 710. I felt like I would get a 750. My CR was a decent 770. I’m in 8th grade, so I qualified for the JHU grand award, which was mainly what I wanted.

i got CR: 710, M: 800, W: 760 2270

Is it true that top schools like Stanford wouldn’t view this different to a 2300+ etc.? Is it worth retaking? Also, how does one view the essay score?

Stanford views admissions holistically. It depends on what the rest of your package is and what you’re applying to be.

How many times have you take the SAT? What did you do to prepare next time. What might you do to prepare next time if you choose to take it again.

Your score is on par with other admits to Stanford, and unless you can jump 100 points next time, I wouldn’t suggest taking it again. There should be better things for you to do. If you don’t have better things to do, I recommend that you find something.

This is my first time taking it as an international in year 11. I didn’t do much study, I just completed a couple of practice exams to get the feel of questions as well as some practice questions for CR and W to help me improve those and two essays. You’re right, I don’t know what else I would do to prepare and raise my score, and I really do have better things to do; that being said, I don’t want to hurt my chances.

CR: 580
Writing 610
9 essay
Math: 750
1940
I literally predicted this exact score. I wasn’t expecting much higher or lower. I’m very happy with my essay though. The first time I took a practice test I was given a 3 on my essay-total, out of 12

I GOT A 2400!!!

M: 800
CR: 800
W: 800 (80/10)

I don’t even know how this is possible…

^
Congratulations!

I got a 2340.
Critical Reading: 790
Math: 750
Writing: 800
Essay: 10

Is a 2340 on the SAT better than my 33 on the ACT from last year?

You guys are amazing! i am a smart kid and I feel so dumb posting:
Critical Reading: 630
Math:660
Writing:700

2340 is so much better btw

CR: 710
M: 710
W: 730 (got 780 last time so nbd)

Superscored compostite: 2200

Is this worth retaking for HYPS?

800 Math
800 CR
770 Writing (10 Essay)
I realized after the test that I missed a very simple writing question because I was reading too quickly. I also didn’t use a quote or very much advanced vocabulary in my essay. I’m pretty bitter.

Bitter over a 2370? Don’t be!

My scores still aren’t up yet!

2050-

650 R
680 M
720 WR

I’ll retake again to increase my math score since I got an unexpected score in this one. TBH I was expecting 1860-1960 so I’m very happy with my score

What was the curve for the writing section? I got an 80 MC and 8 essay -> 760

^ well I can tell you that my 80 MC and 9 essay was a 790 so…

[imgur: the simple image sharer](Imgur: The magic of the Internet)

I think the critical reading curve was harsh (800-800-790 (2 wrong=not 800))

75 MC and an 8 was 720

I know my stats are trash compared to all theses wonderful 2000s posted
But I got a 1920 and I am completely fine with that, I refuse to worry too much over the SAT
However I’m more excited that I got a 10 for my essay considering I wrote about an episode i saw on Project Runway and Master Chef. I was expecting a 7 but I guess the readers saw something good about it lol :D

Congrats! I personally think anything over a 1900 is wonderful. Just keep in mind that you don’t need a 2300 to get into a good school.
