***January 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

The definite answer is 5/9 because I remember carefully checking to see if the question asked for fraction or percentage. However, 55.6 might still be an accepted answer.

Idk I think it was 22 or something

the antartica one i think had a semicolon

i think i was between “, in fact, Antarctica is a desert” and “_; Antarctica is a desert”

I used a semicolon, as well… I believe!

yay thanks guys!

Oh yeah that one. I went with the semicolon.

anyone else get 5 for the first math grid-in? or anyone remember that problem?

first problem, asked for a factor of 60 not in 48… answers could b 5,15,30

10 also works

HELP ME ON THE ESSAY PLEASE. MY TOPIC WAS SHOULD WE TAKE EXPERT ADVICE INTO OUR DECISIONS. I WROTE HOW WE SHOULD QUESTION AUTHORITY USING THE REFORMATION AND MILGRAM EXPERIMENTS. I REALIZED THERE WASNT much stuff about “DECISION MAKING” SPECIFICALLY, SO I ADDED IT USING A CAROT INTO MY THESIS. ALSO MY MILGRAM EXPERIMENT EXAMPLES SHOWS WE HAVE TO REMAIN VIGILANT BECAUSE WE NATURALLY TRUST EXPERTS ORDERS.
THE REFORMATION ONE STATED THAT WE SHOULD QUESTION AUTHORITY BECAUSE THEY CAN ABUSE THEIR POWER.
IS THIS OFF TOPIC?

Did anyone have a strange reading comprehension section that had many questions that were like which lines provide the best evidence to the previous question’s answer? Is that probably the experimental CR section? I have never seen anything like that before. The topic was also really obscure about some sort of woman with her fantasy world kids or something.

I didn’t have that exact section but I did have an experimental section that asked for lines that provide the best evidence. This one was about using stem cells to repair hearts. I have a theory about why they ask those questions only in experimental sections: if these questions are potentially going to be asked to future test-takers, College Board has to make sure that the passages actually have evidence to provide answers to the questions. If no one is able to answer the questions asking them to cite evidence correctly, that may be a sign to College Board that there is scant evidence to support an answer for a question, so the question should be revised/made easier.

I didn’t have that, must have been experimental.

The questions to provide exact evidence with lines really threw me off I had never seen those before. So if none of you had a section about some fantasy author lady with children or something its probably experimental? East Coast?

It’s experimental

I got III only for the math question about circles, and 145 for the question about that pentagon.

I agree with alexgator on those math answers

same. III only MUST be true and yeah i got 145 too

Does anyone remember the problem in the grid-ind where there was a triangle on a graph and it asked you to find the top point of the triangle (I believe it was the top point or something, I can’t remember) ? I put 2.66 for the answer, can anyone confirm this?
