****JANUARY 2015 SAT THREAD (INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS).****

@abc1688‌ where did you take the test?

yesterday @asiankid88‌

@abc1688‌ Where though

Keep going guys, keep on giving feedback and questions.

That short passage of how woman/loom/inventions, which of these 4 did it come with?

  1. Appreciating an Artist (w/ 8 SC)
  2. Echolocation (w/ 8 SC)
  3. Doodling and Calligraphy (w/ 5 SC)
  4. Playing Piano + Paying Athletes (w/ 6 SC)

@asainkid88 ^

@MarcoReus‌ I believe playing piano?? yeah, (4)

For the piano passage, do you guys remember the question “How does the passage portray the teacher?” (the second teacher aka the nice one, not the strict piano teacher"

was it supportive?

For the Chinese doodling girl passage, there was a question about the girl’s reaction to a comment. I put “doubt/skepticism” but there was also an option of “pleasure/(something I forgot).” Is the "doubt/skepticism question correct?

@Pinguman123‌ I put pleased/surprised I think it was, because suspicion didn’t seem right. Are you sure the word was skepticism? I remember hovering over it but deciding suspicion was the wrong word.

Also, can anybody verify if this is somewhat accurate:
thecollegepanda(.)com/sat-score-calculator/

Seems too good to be true.

@DerRoteBaron I also put supportive, I pretty sure it is the right one
@Pinguman123 I don`t remember this one dude, sorry

Overall, this test was harder than basically all practices I`ve done. Writing I guess was the same level. But reading and math were slightly harder. First reading passage was kinda easy, but the rest was tricky in some parts. I hope the curve will be somewhat favorable.

What did you guys put for the combinations math question, the one asking about how many ways we can arrange the three Xs if there always needs to be an x in each row/column? It was either 3, 9, 18, 27 and something else I forgot. I just put 18. (Hate combinations/permutations)

For the math question 8 just before the grid ins, did you guys put 60? It was the one with two lines intersecting and the asked for the y coordinate of the intersection point. Options were 54, 56, 60, 64, and something else I guess. I put 60 by intuition but I wasn`t sure how to do it.

@nummerelf‌

I remember putting 60 (my choice ended with a 0) for the last question before the self-response questions. (just the y-value of the intersection)

I think I got 9 or 15 for the X question.

@Pinguman123 All right, thanks! What should 2 wrong and one omitted in math look like? 720?

Do you remember how to do that one for the X question? I have no idea how

@nummerelf‌ No idea but I remember getting a 760 with 2 wrong once so perhaps around 740-770?

I just found the possible arrangements for x for that question. (no formula)

@Pinguman123 Hopefully haha. Oh ok, Ill just hope you chose D then (Im 90% sure there was no 15, it jumped from 9 to 18, no?)

@nummerelf‌ I forgot lmao.

On a very unrelated note, a friend of mine told me this test was repeated in the US too.

@Pinguman123‌ @nummerelf‌ Sorry guys, but i believe the answer is 6. (For the X one)

Does any of you guys remember the last sentence correction of writing??
It was like

That , (D)was hinted at in the article. (E) No error

(D)was hinted at

I am not sure if this is D or E

@DerRoteBaron‌ Did you use formula or something? Indeed, I did it here on paper and I can`t find more than 6.
Just to double check, question 7 before the grid ins was h+100 and NOT h + 101, right?

@qkrgkfla‌ Do you remember the other options? I dont think D is wrong, but I dont remember if I put E
