***January 2016 SAT (International Only) Thread***

I’d say focus on one section only

What do you guys think of identifying patterns of what SATs CollegeBoard has been recycling and accurately predicting which one they’ll recycle this time around. Unless, of course, it’s completely random.
Got a 2070 on the December SAT; hoping to crack 2250. Also, on the off chance that the prediction idea doesn’t work out-which is rather likely- what do you guys do for CR prep? I ruined my score with my CR score of 610, as opposed to the great 760 I landed on Writing.

I think that’s cheating.

is there a chance that one of the tests in cracksat will get repeated for us??

Definitely not, the collegeboard obviously knows about cracksat.

Got 2230 in Dec SAT, hoping to crack 2300, for being above 75th percentile for some of my dream schools!

Recycled tests are never released tests. When CB recycles (as it virtually always does for international tests), it recycles unreleased exams.

2180 here. was expecting a 750+ writing but I got hacked by collegeboard or something.
Aiming for 800 writing and 750 CR to get 2350 superscore.

@senjiruven

You could go through every SAT discussion thread on CR going back 2 or 3 years, both US and International, or you could focus on the SAT itself and get a high score :slight_smile:

(I tried looking through the threads… it is painful)

I’m going to go with “or something.”

Do you guys think the January 2015 International will be the December 2015 US exam?
Because the November 2015 US was the December 2015 International SAT

Even if it is, its not like we can get our hands on it.

Does anyone have the princeton 11practice book? If so please recommend whether to take the cracksat tests or the princeton ones( since there are no solution descriptions, the tests in cracksat are not that useful to learn from)

Depends on which sections, but TPR tests are pretty bad in my opinion. I’d use real tests and then ask questions here on CC.

@marvin100 Hi I’ve noticed you’re quite knowledgable as it pertains to the ins and outs of the SAT. I was wondering how the SAT Online Course measures up to the actual SAT in terms of difficulty, and I’ve read somewhere that they’ve actually used isolated sections from the OC in real tests? Is that true? Thanks

The OC reading passages are mostly adapted from old (pre-2005) released exams. I don’t have any real opinion about their difficulty (I tend to think that difficulty is more or less the same, with variance a function of the test-taker rather than the test, but I’m not adamant about it). @abc1688

last week guys!!strong finish!!

which countries are you guys taking the tests?

@abc1688, India

remember when I told you guys all that inspirational stuff?

yeah I happened to not follow it myself.

hope i can improve by 40 points overall (that’s my min. goal) regardless. do you think it’s possible even if I havent studied? from 1970 to 2010?

I heard that several areas have been cancelled. Is it true?? I heard that several areas in China have been cancelled
